Durango & Silverton to return K-28 #478 to service

On October 17th, the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad (DSNG) announced that they intend to return locomotive #478 to service. The 1923 built 2-8-2 steam locomotive last operated in 2016 before being placed in the railroad’s Roundhouse Museum. Actor Michael Gross to help with Santa Fe FP45 restoration

Santa Fe #93, an EMD FP45 diesel locomotive at the Great Plains Transportation Museum (GPTM) in Wichita, Kansas, will be getting a new lease on life thanks to a Hollywood star.
