Erie Business Car Society finds new home at the Ashtabula, Carson & Jefferson Railroad

The Erie Business Car Society, owners of the Erie 1 car, have relocated to the Ashtabula, Carson & Jefferson Railroad in Northeast Ohio. The society was previously located in Salamanca, New York, where they also had a trooper sleeper car that was being restored.

Their new home on the AC&J also gives the society the opportunity to purchase two additional Erie cars. No. 201 is a baggage car with a generator and No. 1022 is a modernized heavyweight car. Both cars are currently owned by the AC&J and formerly used in passenger operations, but are no longer needed.

Opportunities to publicly view Erie 1 will be announced in the future.
