Woodstown Central Railroad returns CNJ cars to New Jersey

The Woodstown Central Railroad in Southern New Jersey has acquired 6 former Central New Jersey passenger cars from the Green Mountain Railroad in Vermont. These cars were built in 1931 and worked in New Jersey in commuter service until their sale in the 1980’s to GMRR.

River Rail Photo has posted a couple photos of the cars, noting that two of the car numbers are 1312 and 1317. #1312 is the first car to receive attention inside of the SMS shops.

These 6 cars join a 1906 private office car that was purchased from the Everett Railroad in PA. The former B&O car features a marble bathroom, kitchen, and bedrooms and will be restored to operating condition.
