Southern Pacific #18, a 4-6-0 narrow gauge oil burner, will be heading to the Laws Railroad Museum for 2 days of photo opportunities on March 23-24 in 2023. The photoshoot, sponsored by Pete Lerro, is $325 per day and will feature the locomotive in various places around the museum. Additionally, #18 will be operating for the general public on March 25 & 26. Details about those opportunities are to be announced.
The Laws Railroad Museum features the original Carson & Colorado depot and 4-6-0 locomotive #9, as well as various other pieces of rolling stock and structures. Locomotive #18 will be returning to home rails on this trip, as she worked from Laws to Keeler from 1938 to 1954. This will be the second time she has returned to Laws, with her previous return in 2017.
