Union Pacific Challenger and Other Heritage Equipment Move Date Released

The Union Pacific Railroad has announced that some of the heritage equipment that they have donated to the non-profit Railroading Heritage of Midwest America (RRHMA) will be moved to their Silvis, Ill. shops starting on November 11th. The move will take a week in total, with plenty of viewing opportunities along the way. You can view the schedule at the UP website.

The equipment being moved will be Challenger #3985, #5511, Centennial #6936 and some passenger cars. Although #5511 was being tested in the yard with Big Boy #4014 while being prepped for the move, the donation train will be pulled by diesel locomotives.
